Boruta family crests have been discussed in a Polish text published in Bialystok in 1999 called "Polish Noble Families and their Coats of Arms" (Tadeusz Gajl). This text suggests that families with the Boruta surname were represented by four separate coats of arms. Jastrzebiec (Bolesta), Lubicz, Pobóg, and Nowina.
	My own research indicated that my family has always been associated with Nowina. This crest is described as ... "On a crowned helmet, a leg in armour, flexed at the knee, spurred." Below you can find another interpretation of the Nowina crest.
